HEALTH OFFICE MANAGER
New Kent/Mechancisville
Summary:
The Health Office Manager provides medical oversight for the company’s residential and occupational safety and health programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Shall have experience in working with the population served and in providing the services outlined in the Service Description.
- Shall be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
- Shall maintain state and company training requirements to work with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.
- Working conditions are normal for an office environment and group home environment. Physical demands associated with patient care can be expected
- Work may require on-call weekend and evening work.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Health Office Manager monitors the provision of health related services for compliance with state and federal regulations and company policy as well as compliance with Individual Support Plans.
- Responsible for collaborating with residents, multidisciplinary team members, and outside medical professionals to provide and coordinate appropriate and adequate physical and psychological support.
- Supervises assigned team members and educates both staff and residents about various health conditions and medications.
- Enforces compliance with medication administration policies and procedures.
- Responsible for maintaining the Comprehensive Medical Record for all those supported in the residential program.
- Coordinates the operations of the company's occupational health and safety program, and conducts employee training for health and safety related policies and procedures.
- Acts as the liaison between Cornerstone and its workers compensation carrier in the event of an employee accident or injury, and coordinates employee medical treatment.
